Our Expansive, Federally Recognized Nation

Tohono O’odham Nation is an esteemed, federally recognized tribe with an impressive community of approximately 28,000 members, proudly calling the tribal lands of Southwestern Arizona home. Enveloping a vast stretch of land, our Nation is the second largest reservation in Arizona in both population and geographical size, with a land base of 2.8 million acres and 4,460 square miles. Our ancestral territory accounts for approximately the size of the State of Connecticut, with four non-contiguous segments our expansive reservation reaches more than 2.8 million acres at an elevation of 2,674 feet.
